GARDEN RENOVATION - HAMPTON HILL

Our clients in Hampton Hill wanted to make their patio area more interesting.  They wanted to break up the expanse of grey paving which felt cold and impersonal and create a space that encouraged wildlife and was still a pleasure to use.  In the spirit of sustainability we suggested making changes that would enhance the area without having to rip the whole thing out and start again.  To do this we created raised beds finished with rustic cladding to encourage self seeding and provide habitat for insects. We expanded the decking area to create a more comfortable seating space and used clay pavers set in a basket weave pattern. Finally we removed some of the paving slabs and dug back to soil to create more planting areas and break up the patio.  These beds were then finished with cotswold gravel.
